Help raise awareness of the specialty amongst legislators and fight for updating our practices act. Georgia has a reputation of being restrictive and behind the times in its utilization of independent non-physician providers. Help us change that!
Educate
Help inform policymakers and stakeholders to the benefits of CRNAs. The current "direction and responsibility" restriction on CRNAs needs to be updated. If updated, it will translate into lower costs and increased access for patients.
ENGAGE
Help us maximize our influence under the Gold Dome by getting more involved in our Care you Count on Campaign! Whether it be contributing to the PAC, calling your legislator, or participating in Capitol Day, the more participation we get from CRNAs all across the state, the more effective we can be in passing legislation favorable to CRNAs.
Take Action
In order to protect the interests and practice of Georgia CRNAs, we need your help! Our members are our most effective advocates.
- Serve on a committee, or even the board, of the Georgia Association of Nurse Anesthetists
- Volunteer at the GANA Annual Conference
- Tell us your story on video about why you chose to be a CRNA
- Contribute to the PAC, Attend “Capitol Day” during the legislative session
- Re-post GANA content on your personal social media channels
- Set up a meeting with your legislator in your community
